Hi! My name is Cate Johnson, I am a senior Government major at the College of William and Mary. I am from Charlottesville, Virginia, and have too many cats.
I like maps a lot, can do a one-legged squat, and really hate concert ticket processing fees. I think camping is fun, and I hope that at some point in my life I will live mainly in a tent or shack of some sort, preferably somewhere non-English speaking. I like to write and to play the guitar, and am trying really hard to learn the mandolin.
My primary interest / career goal is in international development; I’d like to find and implement ways to improve quality of life all over the world with respect to individual cultures, environmental and social sustainability, and individual self-worth. I’m happiest when I’m helping, so I’d like to find new ways to help on a global scale.
This blog is for a class I am taking at William and Mary’s Mason School of Business: Sustainability Inspired Design and Innovation. I’ll be posting in response to assignments and also other thoughts I have on the topic. I like the idea of building a business (or becoming a person) that can grow anywhere, hence the title of the blog.
